This month I had the pleasure of attending Australia’s biggest high tea supporting Breast Cancer awareness. The whole event was magnificent. As I entered the room (slightly late) -however with impeccable timing- I was able to witness the room fully occupied and everyone already settled in their flowing and engaging conversations.
There were probably three generations of women sitting side by side, from the youngest to (what they reminded me of) my gorgeous grandmother.
Then I heard our lovely MC announce the extraordinary Sonya fashion designer extravaganza show. Within seconds I was transported into my own movie.. from the Great Gatsby with furs, pearls and feathers to Old Hollywood where sequin and beaded long garments danced as the models glided on the red carpet and finished with some true divine sexiness. As I sat there in complete awe and appreciation of the outfits, the incredible styling skills and out-of-this-world accessories I found myself in utmost admiration of the models stranding their stuff with so much elegance and confidence.
I thought to myself: why am I so captivated?
It wasn’t the normal horsy straddles from skinny breadstick models but from what I consider the true definition of Real Women!
💗 So my plead if I were to have one…maybe my wish if I had a magic wand , would be for all us women to begin to ‘see’ the true definition of beauty. Being young, wrinkle and bump free, yes it is nice and maybe titillating to see.
Nevertheless, after a while -just like anything that is fake (meaning it is impossible to believe it can be sustained forever) it lacks luster, substance and becomes boring to those who have true eye for beauty.
Love to hear your comments and your thoughts.
Cheers to us as we are all so so gorgeous xx
